Tactical measures for extinguishing gas fires

1. gas and auxiliary equipment shall be inspected regularly every shift, and problems found shall be handled in a timely manner without delay. There shall be no less than 2 maintenance personnel in the gas area

2. gas equipment, pipelines and valves shall be regularly overhauled, inspected according to items, and problems found shall be handled in time

3. it is strictly prohibited to set flammable and corrosive liquid pipelines near gas equipment and pipelines

4. when the gas pipeline is frozen or blocked, steam can be used to heat the pipeline. It is absolutely forbidden to bake the pipeline with open fire to prevent fire or explosion

5. when the gas equipment is out of service, purge the pipeline with nitrogen (or steam) for 1.5~2 hours, and then plug the blind plate

6. the gas cut-off device, pressure gauge or steam and nitrogen connection shall be controlled by a specially assigned person

7. the CO concentration in the gas hazardous area shall be measured regularly, and the co temporary measuring device shall be set at the key parts

8. in case of gas, oxygen respirators must be worn when pumping, blocking blind plates, repairing valves and conduits. Oxygen respirators shall be used by specially trained personnel and supervised by personnel of gas protection station

9. when handling the inside of gas equipment, take air samples for CO content analysis

10. when handling gas equipment and gas pipelines, when the blowoff pipe is open, no open fire is allowed near the pipeline to prevent fire or explosion

11. when the gas facilities are shut down for gas maintenance, the gas source must be reliably cut off and the internal gas must be purged. For long-term maintenance or shutdown of gas facilities, the upper and lower holes must be opened, and the vent pipe must be vented to maintain natural ventilation in the facilities

12. the time interval for the staff entering the equipment shall be at least 2H

13. after the analysis of CO content, when it is allowed to work in the gas equipment, protective measures shall be taken and a full-time guardian shall be set

14. when working inside the gas equipment, the safety sampling and analysis time shall not be earlier than half an hour before the hot work. During the maintenance hot work, it must be re analyzed every 2h. After the work is interrupted, it must also be re analyzed half an hour before resuming the work. The sampling shall be representative to prevent mistakes

15. when working with gas, the workplace shall be equipped with necessary contact signals, gas pressure gauges, wind direction signs, etc. no fire source shall be allowed within 10 meters from the workplace, and fire prevention measures shall be taken. Irrelevant personnel shall be 40 meters away from the operation point. The projector can only be installed 10 meters away from the operation point

16. before entering the pipe for inspection, the harmful gas in the pipe shall be purged, and a special person shall be assigned to watch the inlet. After the inspection, the number of people passing the inspection shall be increased to prevent MIS sealing the inlet. When working in the pipe, the temperature in the pipe shall not exceed 40 ℃. Open both ends of the pipe to enter the hole, apply protective oil to the exposed skin and promote the continuation of structural reform on the supply side, and wear hood, goggles and mask

17. when carrying out hot work in the gas area, on the premise of having a safe hot work permit, fire prevention tools such as sand, steam pipe, yellow mud and sandbags must be prepared before hot work, inflammables must be taken away, and the place leaking gas must be blocked with yellow mud and asbestos rope before hot work. In addition, the person in charge of the gas shall check the tools, equipment and oxygen respirators with the safety officer and other relevant personnel

18. for hot work on gas equipment in operation, the gas in the equipment shall be kept at positive pressure during long-term use. The hot work part shall be reliably grounded. A pressure gauge shall be installed near the hot work part or contact with the nearby instrument room. The pressure gauge must be guarded by a specially assigned person and must be welded by electricity. It is strictly prohibited to use gas welding for hot work

19. for hot work on discontinued gas equipment, in addition to air analysis, the combustibles in the gas equipment shall be cleaned or steam shall be supplied to confirm that no explosive gas mixture is formed during hot work

20. when the gas facilities catch fire, the gas pressure shall be gradually reduced and a large amount of nitrogen shall be introduced, but the minimum gas pressure in the gas facilities shall not be less than 100Pa (10.2mm) H2O). It is strictly prohibited to close the gas valve or water sealing valve to prevent backfire and explosion

21. when the gas pipeline with diameter less than or equal to 1000mm is on fire, the gas valve can be directly closed to extinguish the fire

22. in case of gas explosion accident, the gas source shall be cut off immediately and the residual gas shall be treated quickly. (protect the scene)

23. all personnel who rescue the gas accident of this model, which has become the first model with all aluminum body among the domestic independent brands, must obey the unified leadership and command. The accident scene shall be marked out as a dangerous area and sentries shall be arranged to prevent non rescue personnel from entering. Rescuers entering the gas hazardous area must wear oxygen respirators. It is strictly prohibited to use appliances that are not suitable for preventing gas poisoning

24. precautions for condensate discharge:

(1) do not discharge gas to prevent poisoning

(2) regularly discharge the gas to ensure the quality and safety of the gas, and close the valve after discharge

(3) it is strictly forbidden for non workbench personnel to enter the condensate discharge room to prevent gas poisoning

25. for gas equipment that has been out of service for a long time, major, medium or modified, a tightness test must be conducted before putting into use. The following points must be achieved before the test:

(1) check whether there is a blind plate and cut off the gas pipeline

(2) there must be safety lighting when inspecting the inside of the pipeline

(3) check all water seals, the water inlet of the drainer, the switch position on the drain pipe, measure the water seal drainer, and the water level must comply with the safety regulations

26. when working at heights during gas overhaul, be sure to fasten the safety belt and pay attention to safety

27. steam insulation measures shall be taken for gas equipment in winter to prevent freezing

28. in order to ensure the health of gas workers, gas workers should have physical examination twice a year
